The Crazy Chase Orchestra of Morrisville, Vermont was led by Alfred Chase, commonly known as “Crazy Chase”. Alfred Chase was, by the colloquial understanding of the era, a “crossdresser”. Alfred Chase was known to always perform wearing a dress, yet still found success with his orchestra in Vermont despite defying the norms of the time.
